Geotube

Geotube is a building proposal designed by faulders studio for the unique environment of Dubai. Geotube building features a large super structure which will, over time, grow a skin façade on its own. the system utilizes a vertical salt deposit growth systemthat uses water from the adjacent persian gulf. the water is sprayed onto the mesh of the superstructure using a gravity fed system, allowing the skin to continually grow using nothing but local materials. because the persian gulf has the world's highest salinity for oceanic water, the sprayed water will evaporate and salt deposits begin to form.

Skate and Destroy

Skateboard decks find that they go through short and abusive life cycles as fanatical skateboarders repeatedly perform tricks in tough environments. These decks end up fraying, cracking and wearing out rather quickly which consequently results in skateboarders going through an abundance of them in their skateboarding careers.

Roger Borg Lamps

Scrap Stack

As its name implies, this stacked lamp was built using the “scraps” generated from the production of other works. These small pieces varying in color, were redesigned to form a lamp with a coherent profile. However, this regular form contains within its shape an orgy of color relationships stretching both laterally and vertically. Each side is a display of myriad combinations of color, which when taken as a whole, produce a wonderfully warm glow. This lamp builds upon the ideas inherent in the color stack, all the while adding a greater degree of complexity to the interaction of color layers.

Adafruit's Monochron retro clock

You might have the vaguest of memories seeing this piece before, but here we are with a much clearer picture of Adafruit Industries' Monochron clock, now also on sale! As is its modus operandi, the timepiece is open source... but should you plan on sticking to default, you'll be gifted with a great retro-style Table Tennis for two. The best part? The time changes whenever the clock "loses" -- something tells us that gives one side at least a 59-to-1 advantage. Video after the break.
